Massage

Traditional Chinese Herbal Medicine has a history dating back 3000 years starting from the early Zhou Dynasty. Chinese herbs have been used to treat a variety of ailments such as: headaches, nausea, constipation, diarrhoea, bloating, cough, nasal congestion, anxiety, exhaustion, problems sleeping, menstrual cramps, and pain. Chinese herbs can be utilised as a stand-alone treatment or in conjunction with acupuncture to give additional advantages.

Remedial Massage focuses on particular parts of the body that are tense or painful. The focus is to loosen tense muscles, enhance circulation, increase oxygen and blood flow to trouble regions, and, ultimately, ease pain and promote healing.

Acupuncture points can be found all throughout the body. The ones we typically utilize are on the limbs, ankles, wrists, abdomen, and back. These points, when stimulated, can evoke a unique therapeutic response in the body, eliminating stress hormones, raising energy levels and naturally restoring the body's equilibrium.

Moxibustion

Moxa, also known as moxibustion, is a type of heat therapy that is typically utilised during an acupuncture session. It consists of gently burning processed medicinal mugwort leaf on or near the body in order to activate acupoints, develop Yang Qi, and promote healthy Qi circulation.

Cupping / Gua Sha

Cupping therapy

Cupping can be a deeply calming experience. The pressure and intensity are tailored to your specific needs and pain tolerance. The sensation is sometimes compared to a deep tissue massage, although less painful. It is important to note that these markings are not bruises; they are typically not painful and will fade away on their own.

Our diet can be thought of as medicine, supporting our daily lives. Our diets should shift with the seasons and with the stages of life. "Diet is deeply individual. No two people respond identically to the same foods" -Andrew Sterman
